PROFESSIONAL ORIENTATION OF YOUNG GYMNASTS

Students of final year of Gymnasium “Svetozar Markovic”, from autumn will have opportunity to attend practice in private and public firms and in state institutions to practically comprehend certain profession and could confirm whether this is a business that would like to work in the future. In the order of realization of the project “Professional orientation of young” City Municipality of Palilula and Gymnasium “Svetozar Markovic” signed  protocol of cooperation with representatives of Bar Chamber Nis and Administration for Communal Services, Energy and Traffic, Utility Police, Nis` Institute for Health Protection of Workers, Health Institution “Pharmacy Nis”, Nisprojekt and Nis` Dairy. This organizations and institutions were selected on the base of the list of professions for which students of Gymnasium decided.

In first phase of the project we surveyed students of final grades of Gymnasium “Svetozar Markovic” and they decided for few professions which would deal with. Frequently professions which students said are architect, doctor, economist, lawyer, pharmacist, utility policeman, policeman and detective inspector. On the base of the results of the survey, we called and representatives of private and public enterprises and institutions which can to help us that graduate of the Gymnasium a couple of days volunteer and gain basic knowledge and experiences which would help them in further Faculty choice, or choosing a professional career – said during the singing the protocol Prof. Dr Igor Novakovic, President of Palilula Municipality.

“Idea for this project is very good, because children of final years of Gymnasiums often doesn’t know what to choose for its vocation, and many of the would agree that is very difficult to work about 40 years something what you don’t like. Students of high vocational schools through praxis can see with what will be dealing, while gymnasts don’t have touch with the praxis and very often they choose profession at the urging of parents or maybe currently determination. However, it is not rarely case that they made mistake in choosing and that is why is good that children can see what it means to be doctor or lawyer or policeman and do assessment before entering the study is this is what they want to do highlighted professor Olga Dragojlovic, Director of Gymnasium of “Svetozar Markovic”.

Representatives of institutions, enterprises and administrations which are parties of protocol highlighted that are readily accepted idea that gymnasts come on vocational praxis with them and to get know with process of work. “ We supported idea of the project because it is interest of our company that students of final years during the volunteering see themselves as workers of dairy. We need professional staff and we will be satisfied if we succeed to convince even few students to choose that as its future profession – said Zvezdan Gavrilovic, Director of “Nis` Dairy”.
